State guide
In Queensland, plumbing work is regulated by Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC). LYD Plumber gives QLD plumbing and handyman businesses an AI receptionist, missed-call text-back, a CRM and a website, with reminders built around QLD paperwork and handyman licence limits.
QLD rules at a glance
Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC). Licenses plumbers, drainers and building contractors.
Plumbing and drainage are occupational work in Queensland. An occupational licence is needed to perform or supervise plumbing or drainage work at any value, and a QBCC contractor licence is needed to contract for it.
Up to $3,300 needs a licence or registration
A handyman does not need a QBCC licence for building work valued at $3,300 or less, as long as it is not electrical or plumbing work and does not need an occupational licence.
